The Good Horsemanship Society was formed by a group of people who desperately sought a choice and couldn’t find one.
Not just a choice for themselves but a choice for their horses, this Society now offers that choice.
They realised their horse has a point of view and that he expresses that view in a hundred different ways and to ignore that is to compromise his mental and physical wellbeing.
What they wanted to do was to understand the true nature of each individual horse and his needs.
One rule does not fit all.
There can be no manual that remains the same it needs rewriting every time we interact with a horse because we are always learning.
Are you searching for something that other societies don’t offer?
The Good Horsemanship Society is a society that understands that we live in a world where some horses have to be kept at livery, where owners work, where money and time are tight, of competitions, of education that needs to lead to recognized qualifications, of the importance of insurance that is tailored to all horsemen.
The Good Horsemanship Society wants to present a world in which there is a choice to go another way.
