Equine Language School

How will studying the behaviour of wild or feral horses benefit me & my domestic horse?
There are many reasons why we need to understand what our horses are saying. Without understanding the horse we cannot expect to achieve a fully successful relationship. Studying the behaviour and interactions of horses in their natural environment allows us a much clearer insight into the true nature of the horse and therefore our domestic equines. Observing horses in their natural state enables us to challenge many of the assumptions we have of the domestic horse.
The following courses are currently available:
Introduction to horse behaviour
Intermediate guide to horse behaviour
Advanced guide to horse behaviour; the ‘Complex’ or ‘Evolutionary’ horse
The horse in rehabilitation; the next step to understanding the domestic horse
Learning theory and the horses mind

Perry Wood Riding & Horsemanship

Picture
Perry's work with horses and their people is dedicated to developing empathy and understanding. Working with the horse's nature and using the principles of classical riding, Perry is able to help both horse and rider gain the very best from their relationship.
"When the horse becomes a willing partner he brings his own joy and enthusiasm to the performance"
Perry's horsemanship is the distillation of many years of learning and experience with many horses in many different settings. With a breadth of knowledge, and always working with ' what is ,' it is not easy to label Perry's approach, but for about 20 years Perry has been involved in Classical riding and natural horsemanship on a day-to-day practical basis.

'It is from the rider's body to the horse's body, and on to the horse's mind. but it begins in the mind of the rider.'
